I’m a fortysomething government analyst living in Sacramento, California with my husband and two young children. I enjoy technology, possibly because my work is only tech-adjacent, so when I talk about it that’s an enthusiast but not a professional.

Nevertheless, another thing I talk about is reducing tech in my everyday life, especially when it comes to parenting stuff. I am nerdy enough to have a home server but I operate it as a beginner/intermediate user.

I’ve been into the ATProto universe lately.

I hate AI prose and don't want to read blogs written by the computer; however I am not really anti-AI and am somewhat interested in some aspects of the technology even as I loathe some others. Not one word of what I've written anywhere on the Internet is LLM-authored, and will never be, but I do use it for coding webpage stuff sometimes, so steer clear if that offends you.

Other things I post about are: parenting, chess, knitting, crochet, books I’ve read, movies I’m watching, and I’ve recently gotten into film photography.
